TEST: Haikus

Stone is unconvinced,
of the mason’s shame and guilt;
When the hard rock breaks.

The boat-bobbing sea
soaks the mariner’s tall tales
with a salt-sharp wit.

Food warms the oven
for heartfelt treats of the cook
from unstale dough.

Voicing the voiceless,
poets reveal the faceless:
Feelings into words.

A lovely girl’s smile
can last an entire day:
Cheaper than candy.

from out of the blue
An angel came down to earth:
Did she fall or was she pushed?

Angels come to earth:
Do they fall down descending
Or are they just pushed?

Ugly women frown
But the cheapest cosmetic
Is just a smile.

The ugliest woman
Is she who wears a frown
For the least expensive cosmetic
Is but a well-worn smile.
